BREAST CANCER PREVENTION IS A CHOICE ANYONE CAN MAKE

I know some will not like this post and that's okay. It is an emotive and poorly understood topic, which is why I feel it needs to be discussed and more awareness generated. Clearly the current situation isn't working, in fact it is getting worse and will continue to do so until people realise this does not have to be so.

Anyone who knows me well will know that cancer prevention has been one of my greatest passions for decades. I am so tired of repeatedly hearing the belief that breast cancer is something we should all be terrified of; that it strikes randomly; that we are sitting ducks, and all we can do is hope not to become its next victim; that it is beyond our control; that there is nothing we can do except pray not to be the next one.

The vast majority of breast cancer is LIFESTYLE driven and therefore PREVENTABLE. Only 5 -10% of breast cancer is genetic, and even then so much can be done to avoid that gene being activated. It is also the reason why incidence is increasing and now affects close to 10% of women. The truth is that the vast majority of people do not follow a lifestyle which places them at the lowest possible risk, quite the opposite in fact. Many people are vaguely aware of links between behaviour and risk, and are attempting to do some of the things, some of the time. But this increasingly toxic environment we have created requires that good lifestyle choices have to be made consistently, in order to not only survive, but to THRIVE. Self exams are important but they DO NOTHING toward prevention. They are not enough to stay safe, Nor is continuing on with the belief that we do not know what causes breast cancer, and that it is just a matter of time until a cure is found.

I know this can seem overwhelming and TOO HARD, but it does not mean saying goodbye to having fun, treats, late nights, chocolate, margaritas, pizza or ice cream. It does mean that the LESS frequently those choices are made, the LOWER YOUR RISK, and not just to breast cancer but all disease states. GRADUAL CHANGES are incredibly powerful They are easier, they are more likely to last, and will build momentum to keep progressing. Every little step in the right direction counts and your body will thank you by improving its functionality. You WILL feel and see the difference.

When the body has done all it can to survive the environment which it has been given, and it has finally succumbed to a serious condition, this is its loudest alarm bell to say "please help me", "this isn't working for me".

Undergoing treatment, conventional or alternative, is by no means going to be a stand alone cure. Remission does not happen unless the body is given a healing environment that it so desperately requires. CHANGE IS ESSENTIAL in order to avoid a relapse or a second and subsequent condition developing.

This means elimination of CRAP FOOD, STRESS and TOXINS, and a significant boost of the good stuff - sleep, sunshine, nourishing whole foods, hydration with clean water, joy etc.

Working alongside a health coach is a great way to start, and everyone can benefit from doing that. It is the reason I too have a health coach. Knowing what to do is one thing, but implementing it is so much easier with some guidance and accountability. Please take some time to read the article below which may help to explain this post more thoroughly. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2515569/?fbclid=IwAR0YeY_ygLt09dV3RtMfT-3EG__H8IoBJ3VZmAkEDs1bVGcYZedOuSD50wg
